Although known for their hand crank meat slicers, Berkel produced electric models such as this early Model 114. Finished in traditional Berkel red and featuring a 270mm (10.6") blade, the Model 114 is a compact electric slicer capable of slicing an array of cured meats.
The US Slicing Machine Co Model 7 is one of the more streamlined antique slicers featuring design improvements over older models such as the Model 100 and Model B, making it easier to operate. Improvements include an updated thickness adjustment dial as well as crimping mechanism. The 330mm (13") blade accommodates most cuts of meat and the Model 7's smaller body size allows for more placement options.
This classic rare model INDIANINA (named by collectors and restorers) is the smallest US BK slicer ever made (exclusively for home and small pubs), and has been completely restored with care in Friuli Italy by a renown restorer V.Valvasori. Every part has been enamel baked painted, chromed, and/or remanufactured in stainless steel to bring it back to its magnificent original condition. The US Slicing Machine Co Model 100 is known in Italy as the "Centenario" and is one of the oldest and most recognizable antique meat slicers. Featuring a full size 350mm (13.7") blade, the Model 100 was designed to be the ultimate tool for butchers. Available in red or black, the Model 100 features decorative gold pinstriping and fully polished accents. Integrated sharpening stones make the Model 100 easy to maintain.
The Berkel Model C is one of the oldest Berkel models every produced. Featuring a 350mm (13.7") blade, the Model C will slice nearly all cured meats. Unlike more modern versions, the Model C features an arching body which displays the mechanical elements of the Van Berkel patented design. This model also features the 'Rotteram' flywheel design. The Model C has a minimalist appearance as it is not equipped with sharpening stones or a front blade guard. A metal receiving tray was used instead of the glass found on more modern meat slicers.
The Berkel H8 H21 is often referred to as the "butcher's favorite". Featuring a large 370mm (14.5") blade, the H8 H21 is designed for all cuts of cured meats. Generational updates over older antiques include a larger thickness adjustment knob, sturdier crimp mechanism, shaft covers, and a more streamlined appearance. The H8 H21 model was produced in the 1940's and 1950's.
US Slicing Machines American Eagle Slicer
The beautiful American Eagle hand cranked meat slicer was manufactured by the American Slicing Machine Company in Chicago Illinois during the early 1920s. This mid-west company produced several other slicers and some electric models, but the American Eagle was their flag ship slicer of the time. To bring the American Eagle back to life we had it sent to Italy so our artisan partners could perform a complete tear down and restoration. The slicer was completely stripped, repainted, hand pinstriped and polished. Period specific nickel plating was used on all the bright work and any badging was hand polished. The American Eagle features a 14" blade which an handle an entire Prosciutto leg, has 22 individual thickness settings and smooth hand cranked operation.

The Berkel B3 is a perfect slicer for home use. Featuring a 300mm (11.8") blade, the B3 can accommodate most cured meats and can slice larger cuts of meat with slight trimming. The B3's body is compact allowing for more placement options on your counter or on an optional base. Berkel slicers come with a beautiful decorated flower flywheel, decorative pinstriping, and classic Berkel insignia.
